Love & Light Foundation has recently introduced their DVD titled ''E Ley di atraccion den accion na Aruba" which means "The Law of Attraction in Action in Aruba''. I had the honor of being a part of their seminar as the director of the opening act and as a member of the panel. Other members of the panel that night included Thea van der Kuyp, Guisela Croes, Belquis Moreu & Eddy Oduber. |
HALA is a local group of young Poets and Artists. Their tour ''OUR TIME'' began on May 9th and their final performance was on June 14th 2008. During their tour, they performed at different art galleries and institutes across Aruba. I had the privilege of joining them in the weekend of May 23rd and May 24th 2009 at the Access Art Gallery. |
On the 22nd of December 2007 a group of us gathered to give out Free Hugs in the mainstreet of Aruba. After viewing all the clips on YouTube, of different countries giving out Free Hugs, we were inspired to share it with Aruba. |
The Aruban government has declared 2008 the year of culture. The official and I must add beautiful calendar has been introduced and I had the honor of being on the March page. At the official introduction of the Calendar I recited the poem "Compronde mi rubiano". The quote "They say staring" features in the Dutch Caribbean Art Diary of 2008. This Diary consists of the works of artists from The Netherlands Antilles and Aruba. Every year they reunite to produce a creative Diary to bring inspiration each day of the year. I contributed with a quote from my upcoming book, accompanied with its illustration by artist Robin de Vogel. |

Quota International organized a Youth Expo in November 2007 to give information on sex and teenage pregnancy. Many organizations such as the Child and Youth Helpline joined in, making it a succesful and educational event. Motivational speaker Belquis Moreu was there and managed to really communicate with the youth during her lecture. I took part in her presentation with 3 perfomances, one of which was the poem "It has something to do with".
