The Ladies

When I asked Lady Liberty what it is she wants to say
She said "Sit down child I’ll explain why I’m disengaged."
"I choose to not feel yet I choose to be real
Some walk pass by me and say I’m next to go
but they don’t understand my presence is surreal
I admit I’m real some parts of me surreal
but I choose to lay my sorrows on an island
surrounded by eye-water people claim a lake
For the sake, sake of what I represent
Liberty…
Don’t you ever wonder why I’m disengaged?
I’m real some parts of me surreal
I can’t be involved with what is called freedom
but keeps the words free and dom separated
Fascinated I sometimes watch at what is said to be the other side
My life which is bothered by sickness but I heal the fittest
Even the proudest reach out to me by the pretty ferry
Walks up and lays its head and I won’t lie I console it,
purify it
and as it takes time and leaves I take time to bow my head and hope
…
that I won’t have to repeat the same lesson at least to the same person again
I am Lady Liberty and I lay liberty on an island
The land is the man’s responsibility
It’s just a shame it’s on its way over here on the pretty ferry."
Now when I asked Lady Justice what it is she wants to say
She said "Stand up child I’ll run this by you because I’m far too engaged".
"I choose to feel and I live
Some walk pass by me and say I’m not human
I’m glad they understand the symbol but sad my emotions are misunderstood
but would… would they care I’m stumbling? Would they notice?
I admit I’m blindfolded but that doesn’t mean I fold my blindness
You’ve seen me uncovered, don’t you ever wonder why I’m engaged?
Take the stage, set the limits and release the critics
Even the fittest steps foot in front of me where I judge blindly
Fairness isn’t gained by a fairy but made through an inquiry
The final decision lies in the eyes of what I represent
Justice…
Must this? Do you have to be so cruel and emotionless?
I take time and bow my head after the decision is said
Aren’t there any exceptions or other measures?
Is this your final answer?
…
My dignity, my strength, my 3 forces well blend I gather
I gather … I gather, Yes! this is my final answer
…
You know it’s hard being me
Worst part is I don’t control my destiny
My biggest fear? That the human race will forget, later regret
That the final decision lies in the eyes of what I represent
Justice…
Must this? Do you have to be so cruel and emotionless?
Aren’t there any exceptions or other measures?
Is this your final answer?
…
I am Lady Justice and I lay justice on a planet
The universe is in the hands of the force
It gives me the right."
